Rooted in tradition and shaped by the land, the Donnelly family’s history spans generations of dedication to quality apple growing. In 1935, Patrick Donnelly journeyed from Armagh to Kilsallaghan, Co. Dublin, where he planted the first trees of what would become a thriving family orchard. His commitment to hard work, respect for the land, and passion for fruit growing laid the foundations for a legacy that continues today. Over the decades, Patrick’s sons have carried forward his vision, nurturing the orchard with the same care and craftsmanship he instilled. Five years ago, the farm took a bold step into the future by embracing fully organic practices—honouring the family’s heritage while protecting the land for generations to come. Today, the Donnelly apple farm remains a testament to tradition, sustainability, and the enduring bond between family and the soil they steward.
